The Bidding Prayers, or Prayers of Intercession, are prayers that will be used after the Homily. Usually the Priest will read these prayers, or a parishioner may be asked to read them. Occasionally, a member of the family, or a friend may read them. Ideally, the reader should be used to reading in church and perhaps would themselves be a reader in Church and read the Bidding Prayers regularly.

Perhaps it would be more prudent to include personal prayers in the Eulogy at the end of the service, or in the Crematorium Chapel where it is more personal.
