PARISH MISSION

In January of 2025 this parish is to be clustered with the Dudley and Tipton Cluster. Dudley and Tipton Parishes have been clustered together for a number of years. The addition of our Parish to the cluster will be something new for us as a parish. It will mean changes in the long term. Initially we will be working with Dudley and Tipton. There shouldn't be any immediate changes, but, unfortunately that cannot be ruled out in the future. The reality is that if one priest moves on, he will not be replaced and therefore the remaining priest will have responsibility for 3 parishes.

2025    Formation of Clusters

The first step will be to cluster and for parishes to get to know each other so that the Parish Priests and the Pastoral Councils can review their strengths and weaknesses. 

2026/7 Review Mass Times

This is to enable Masses to be covered by fewer priests.

UPDATE.

We have been informed that the terms 'Clustering' and 'Cluster' are no longer to be used. Instead the term Mission, we are told, is more appropriate. Therefore, the vision is that we are to form a new mission which will have three Churches, one here, one at Tipton, and one at Dudley, eventually. As part of this mission there will be two schools and other pastoral situations to consider.
