The Feast of Saint Blaise is on Saturday 3rd February, and the Traditional Blessing of Throats will take place at the end of the 5pm Mass on Saturday 3rd February and at the end of the 10am Mass on Sunday 4th February.
Lent begins this year with ASH WEDNESDAY on Wednesday February 14th. I like to prepare the Ashes in the traditional way by burning the Palm Crosses given out at last year's Palm Sunday Mass. Therefore, I ask parishioners to please return their Palm Crosses, which will be burned to make the Ashes for use on Ash Wednesday. Thank You.
